Remote control of HDA parameters in Unreal

Hey guys!
stumbled upon an issue i couldnt solve at work.
I need to be able to control the parameters of an HDA using, preferably blueprints, but python is also an option.

All i could find was a not so clear connection between the scriptable tool plugin within unreal, and the houdini engine public API. which is also very confusing.

Any idea or a tutorial? I only found one which isnt really helpful.
Paid tutoring is also an option.
