Portfolio and planning VFX

Hello! I am in my 3rd year of studying games and I am working on becoming a technical artist, specialized in VFX. So far, I did real-time VFX for a game called Viking Hiking and some ground destruction simulations. I also have some experience with VEX and I created a few procedural tool. My plan is to focus more on blueprints to implement vfx in games and also try to do more realistic vfx. I would really appreciate some advice regarding planning my portfolio, so in the future I can apply for internships with my work. What do you think I should focus on or what project ideas sound interesting in your opinion?
