Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and upper division course in the following area of specialization:
- Visual Effects for Unreal Engine
- Focus on every aspect of the real-time VFX pipeline in Unreal; Niagara, Shader development, Unreal system as a whole.
- Visual Effects for Unreal Engine
- Lecture and teach Online and possibly within a classroom setting, as per course schedule
- Demonstrate Unreal systems and VFX pipeline.
- Grade, critique, and input assignment data on a weekly basis.
- Curriculum development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Art, Interactive Media, Technical Art, Visual Effects, or related field.
- 4+ years of professional VFX experience, 1+ shipped titles preferred, published works, published research projects, or other body of work.
- Lecture experience, including professional talks or panels at conventions or events preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional VFX experience including VFX lead positions with the ability to apply the skills of the area of specialization.
- Terminal degree in Digital Arts, Visual Effects, or Game Production
- Shipped titles in different platforms and media.
- Instructor experience in a college setting, or other teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of project management workflows.
