What is the general workflow to move vertex edits from the shape node to a polyTweak node ? I can see how it automatically happens to place the edits before a deformer ; If I want to capture the history in a customized way, I assume there is a built in command for this.

Do I understand correctly that you have a mesh without history that has vertex tweaks and you want to move those tweaks to a polyTweak node?
Yes, that’s it, I would like to create tweak nodes as steps in history so it can appear amongst other history nodes.
I have not encountered a way to do this out of the box. Hope someone else knows of a way to do it. Good luck!
