El Ranchito is a Spanish visual effects company for film, television and advertising. Created in 2004, El Ranchito has participated in the postproduction of over one hundred spots and more than one hundred films and television series, many of them for the international market.

El Ranchito has created the digital effects for productions such Agora, by Alejandro Amenábar, The Impossible and A Monster Calls, by J. El Ranchito is currently looking for a Mid Software Developer to join our team as soon as possible.
- Type of contract: Full-time (10:00-18:00h), 100% remote
- Duration of the contract: 6 months with option to extend
Job Description:
As a Mid Software Developer you will be learning the company production workflow and implement improvements to the production and administration tools, while working with senior software developers to identify strategies to deliver new tools.
After the end of the contract, you will be able to join the company pipeline team.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other scientific discipline.
- We will also consider technically skilled people for the position.
- Experience in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience coding in Python.
- Experience coding with Python Qt Framework.
- Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g., GIT, SVN).
- Experience with 2d and 3d applications (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, …) as a plus.
- Able to communicate effectively across multiple teams.
- Fluent Spanish and English language skills, spoken and in writing.
- Ability and motivation to quickly learn new software.
- Eligible to work in Spain.
