Indie Game Studio looking for experienced Technical Artist


The role of the Technical Artist is to bridge the gap between the issues of the creative, programming and engineer teams in game development. You must possess an equal amount of knowledge about both disciplines to ensure all needs are being met.


  • Be responsible for lighting setup in projects
  • Expert in Unity shader graph
  • Analyze and improve the rendering performance of various titles
  • Create particles and other visual effects with visual effects in Unity
  • Work with modelers and programmers to create 3D art and bring it into the engine
  • Support artists and engineers in the use of the 3D art pipeline and user-facing engine tools
  • Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers in regard to asset performance and validation
  • Review creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvements
  • Develop 3D art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye towards usability and efficiency
  • Solve challenging technical issues in the 3D asset pipeline
  • Collaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems
  • Inspire and empower the art team to optimize their processes
  • Collaborate with partner studios to share technology and best practices


  • Good working experience as a Technical Artist – to be successful we believe you have to have worked a few years as a Technical Artist with mentioned tools
  • Good knowledge of Unity and C#
  • Good understanding of modern graphics pipelines (OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan)
  • Good knowledge of Maya, Blender, or similar tool
  • Expert knowledge in tools and methods used for analyzing and optimizing rendering performance (RenderDoc, Snapdragon profiler etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of shader authoring for both mobile and high-end platforms
