Senior Technical Arist - Cinematics
As Senior Technical Artist - Cinematics, customer satisfaction and fostering positive relationships with artists is of the utmost importance. You work closely with the cinematic team to advance their visual style, insure efficient creation, improve content creation, collaborate on the development of tools and workflows and participate in motion capture shoots.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist within the games industry
Solid understanding of rigging, anatomy and animation tools
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D graphics software (Maya and Photoshop preferred)
- Multi-disciplined person with a deep understanding of art workflows and content deployment pipelines
- Mature understanding of object oriented languages such as Python, PySide, C#
- Comfortable with Autodesk Maya and MotionBuilder and their APIs
- Self-driven team player that thrives in ambiguity
- Think creatively to solve technical challenges and limitations
- Good communication, organizational and time management
Pluses
- Proficient in all aspects of motion capture pipelines including set up, automation, and optimization
- Understanding of Zbrush, in particular Zscript
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other Technical Artists to ensure consistent technology and content
- Collaborate with Cinematic team to help meet style and in-game requirements and improve their efficiency
- Collaborate with engine teams to build features and solve problems
- Support cinematic artists and communicate their technical needs
- Help develop and enforce content creation and performance guidelines through tools, documentation and communication
- Advance art quality through pursuit and development of improved content creation methods
- Contribute to the studio’s rigging ecosystem
- Process, clean and retarget motion capture data ensuring quality
- Support shoots and assist in their technical aspects
