Unity Labs’ “Slices” Team researches and develops experimental user-experiences, with a focus on augmented, mixed, and virtual reality. We push the boundaries of traditional UX concepts in XR, delivering innovative solutions to challenges that XR developers are meeting today, and will encounter in new forms tomorrow. Our work was recently presented in the form of the “Unity Slices” project, at the 2021 Meta Connect conference. We’re seeking a senior technical artist that wants to join us in developing Unity Slices, and the future of XR!
You will guide all related matters in a small cross-discipline team, with a long history of development experience in XR. Our team thrives upon an intuitive and fluid exchange of ideas, inclusive of all perspectives. You will have a demonstrated ability to maintain artistic quality, while working within the narrow technical constraints of current XR hardware. You will assist in creating & optimizing assets, while developing artist-friendly tools and workflows in Unity. Through research, development, and iteration, we will set new standards in XR experiences that will inspire the industry!
