The Character TD will be responsible for creating modular character body, facial and props rig setups, supporting animators and other developers with scripts and tools, while contributing in the implementation and maintenance of the animation and rigging pipeline.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Maya to Unity workflows, and be well versed with Python and Mel scripting.
- Develop and maintain modular rigging systems for both real-time (Unity) and pre-rendered animation (Maya)
- Drive the strategy of the animation pipeline, tools, and processes.
- Develop skinning and animation tools in Maya
- Assist the animation team in troubleshooting animation problems as they arise.
- Over 5 years of AAA production experience
- Advanced skills in skinning and rigging in Maya
- Experience creating highly expressive facial rigs
- Strong knowledge of Mel and Python
- Knowledge of the animation rigging system in Unity3D
- Knowledge of bipedal movements and locomotion
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
