Lead Pipeline Tech Artist (Remote)

Do you want to work on brand new and ambitious project for next-gen consoles and PC, created in Unreal Engine 5? You’ll be responsible for the creation and integration of tools and scripts for several Art Teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the team of Pipeline Technical Artists to help with the efforts to unify the pipeline between the various offices and outside collaborators, and standardized tool creation
  • Collaborating with Team’s producer and HR to take care of other Pipeline Technical Artists skill growth and career development, feedback, evaluations, pay raises, conflicts, recruiting, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Technical Artist, and other art and content leads to improve pipeline and tools.
  • Create, document and maintain tools/scripts to support and improve art production workflows
  • Collaborate with Art Leads and Art Teams to analyze and break down the various teams’ current manual processes in order to streamline and automate them with the least amount of downtime
  • Work along with the technical leads and the Technical Art Director to investigate and consider potential fixes for the content creation issues with tools and pipelines on interconnected tools, pipelines and systems
  • Adding your experience and improving the way our tools, pipelines, and services are versioned, packaged, deployed, and distributed
    Help create code and scripts that are easy to maintain and iterate
  • Full responsibility for the team and delivering in a timely and quality manner
  • Organizing the work of the department along with the Production
  • Working closely with the Technical Art Director, Lead Technical Artist from Content team and Head of Technology
  • Risk management, responding to current problems
  • Co-creation of pipeline with Technical Art Director and Production

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent English speaking and documentation skills
  • Experience with AAA Art pipelines
  • Experience in Leadership positions
  • Ability to plan and carry out long-term projects involving complex pipelines and tools
  • Fluency in some of the relevant scripting languages, such as Python, C++, C# and DCC Api and scripting languages
  • Very good knowledge of any 3D package (3DS Max, Maya, MotionBuilder or Substance suite preferably)
  • Being organized and time-conscious
  • Team management skills, good communication skills, and ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to develop and implement new pipeline solutions
  • Fluency in cooperation between departments and the ability to navigate within the departmental structures
