You can:
- Develop tools, procedures and interfaces to optimise the Luma FX pipeline
- Identify inefficiencies in studio processes, and design pragmatic solutions
- Provide consistent technical support to FX department
- Communicate technical issues to the Production team in a clear manner
- Work well in a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail
You have:
- 3+ years experience developing for Houdini
- Additional experience in either software development or as a Houdini artist
- Master knowledge of python
- Proven experience writing pipeline tools and designing workflows
- Experience with Linux
- Competency with git, unit-testing, and CI
- Expert problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Approachable, proactive, and accommodating attitude
- Innate desire to stay informed of current technologies
Pluses:
- Experience with any of the following:
- C/C++
- Universal Scene Description
- Maya, Nuke, Katana, Mari, and/or shader writing / rendering
- SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Contributing to open source software
