[3ds Max] Bone Viewport Connection Problem

Back01 joint is under Root joint. As such, I would expect that they should be connected in viewport. However, such is not the case in the viewport. Is there a way around this?

P.S. Coming from Maya, I need the joints that are in the hiearchy to be connected in the viewport. For sanity check

After much fiddling, it turns out bone drawing in 3ds max is a bit strict. All joints must be aim at x axis for the drawing to work.
